Hi lovelies!

Just in time for the fourth, I’m bringing y’all my look for this year’s Independence Day! I am seriously in love with this blue and white vertical striped romper! It is so festive and girly, with sweet ruffles at the bottom and beautiful bow details at the back. I got this particular one in a boutique in Kansas City, but blue and white stripes are so in this season. I’ve seen them all over the web and in stores! To make it more outside and travel proof, I wore my trusty white converse and some sunnies.

For makeup, I pushed MAC Red into my lips with my ring finger for sort of a “just ate a cherry popsicle” look. Full on red lipstick can be hard to maintain throughout the day, but this method gently stains the lips and is so low mantience.

And Now…. I wanted to share with you all my favorite easy summer recipe! Its a frosé type drink with blended strawberries (frozen before), sparkling rosé, and sugar. I personally like it without the sugar but to each their own! Add one glass of the wine to a half cup of frozen berries in a blender and walla! You have yourself a delicious and refreshing fourth of July beverage.

Sweet and Summer: The perfect June top

bloggg 1bloggg 2bloggg 3bloggg 4bloggg 5bloggg 6bloggg 7bloggg 8

Hi sweet friends!

So this top I featured in my May’s favorites that I found at Nordstrom Rack and I have been loving it so much this summer! Navy and white is so crisp and classic and when you add the lemon details and cut outs, it upgrades this outfit to knockout status. The blouse is seriously so comfortable and I received a ton of compliments on it when I was shooting this look. I added my J Crew gold and crystal bracelet to add to the chic factor and used my monogrammed wallet from Kate Spade as a clutch.

This has got to be one of my favorite looks ever and I’m so excited to share it with y’all. It’s the perfect combo of on trend and classic. I also love the pink YSL lipstick and oversized pearls, but those are staples for me!

I hope everyone is having a great day with plenty of sunshine and coffee. My favorite season is Summer so I am loving life right now! Who else is a summer gal? Let me know in the comments!

Sisters in San Fransisco

blog 1blog 3Facetune-1

Oh hey there! Today I’m featuring the “what to wear when your sister invites you to a company outdoor concert look” because that happens all the time… right?? Haha but seriously, there are quite a few events when you need to be weather proof and also appropriate enough to meet some bosses and coworkers. Coachella wardrobes need not apply.

I love this flowy, two layer top and wear it so frequently in summer. I paired it with light gold accessories and the comfiest sandals in my closet, which also happen to be chic. I love double layering short bar necklaces with dramatic statement “rope” necklaces. This one from Kendra Scott is definitely my favorite!  You can’t go wrong with the darkest of denim either. Now all you need is a pair of sunglasses and a smile!

This blog is a bit light on photos simply because my sister and I were having too much fun standing on the field of the Giants in SF and singing along to Kelly Clarkson! It was just the relaxing time my sister and I both needed. We are triplets and live on the same coast for the summer, so y’all will definitely hear about her again!

Sephora Play Box: Iconic Edition

blog 1blog 2

Hi friends!

So as some of you may know, I am gladly suffering from a developing makeup addiction and when I saw that Sephora had an Iconic edition of their play box, I had to have it. I am a VIB Rouge and already subscribe to their play box monthly. While I could go further into detail about whether or not I find the play box itself worth it, I have to say the first ever iconic edition did not disappoint! These were all products I felt justified the price of 20 dollars considering these sample sizes are no joke. Without further adieu, here is my review!

YSL Lipstick in Bright Strawberry Pink: Okay as a Southern gal, I love me some bright lipstick! I get so many compliments whenever I wear red or bright pink and when I saw this was included, I knew it would make the perfect addition to my summer look. I already own two from the same line so I know that while the formula may not last long, the creamy texture and packaging to die for is certainly #worthit.

La Mer Moisturizing Cream: The only word truly appropriate for this cream is iconic. I felt ridiculous using it because my 22 year old skin has no business using a 350 dollar facial moisturizer. That said, this will make you feel so luxe and hydrated to the max! I’m saving it for special occasions.

Guerlain L’Or Primer: This facial primer has flecks of real 24k gold in it and is said to have firming benefits aside from making makeup last all day. At this point in testing, I was starting to feel like maybe this play box was better than me? Like it drank green smoothies and got its brows waxed all before I had even woken up. This magic in a bottle did make my makeup last a long time and I felt so fun using something that tati over on youtube has obsessed over herself.

Burberry Cat Lashes Mascara:  Okay so small *disclaimer* here I was born with some serious lash power naturally. I have been truly blessed by the hair gods with my full, ever-growing eyelashes and that means I get to be A LOT pickier about mascaras. If something actually makes a difference for me, that means it actually lives up to the hype. Most mascaras do relatively underwhelming transformations on my eyes and this mascara was no exception. Perhaps I am majorly uninformed, but I’ve never heard of Burberry as having amazing mascaras… it felt a bit clumpy and didn’t separate nicely on the lash. The wand was almost unusable due to it’s extreme hour glass shape. Oh well. Better luck next time? I’m sure it works great for others, it just wasn’t this gal’s fav.

Perfume: So I won’t go into too many details about these perfume selections, other than that they both smell great and are indeed very high end. I feel like perfume is such a personal ~journey~ and that telling you how I felt about these very expensive perfumes other than that they smelled nice wouldn’t be helpful. Take a magical journey to Sephora and test them on your skin. perfume should express who you are and even be a trademark. I know I take great care in building my “scent wardrobe” and these two would be a nice addition to anyone’s! I must say though, those bottles are the cutest.

Thanks for reading and let me know in the comments if you guys have ever tried out any of these or got the play box yourself!

Feelin’ 22

Facetune

Hi lovelies!

This past weekend was my 22nd birthday and I celebrated it in style with a Sephora shopping spree, sushi dinner at Bamboo, and this gorgeous red dress! Every year, C and I pick out an outfit that represents how I’m feeling that year, which is one of my FAVORITE birthday traditions. For 22, I headed straight to Nordstrom and picked out this daring ASTR number. I loved the off the shoulder look with the plunging neckline and how it was offset with the sweetness of the lace. I added my all-time favorite shoes (peep the Jeffery Campbell’s) and Kendra Scott earrings to look classic and compliment the bright red. I loved this look so much and hope to try out more of their dresses soon! It definitely felt sophisticated with touches of spicy.

I am sooo excited for my 22nd year, where I will be graduating from college, starting my first full-time job, and going on many fun trips! I have two planned already that I can’t wait to share with y’all.

Springtime in Seattle

blog 2blog 3blog 4blog 7blog 9blog 10blog 11IMG_5354.JPG

Hey there friends! So this week, I found myself even further up north to visit one of my favorite people in Seattle! It was rainy and cold pretty much the whole time and ya girl loves her some sunshine, so I wore the springiest top I own. Green is my favorite color and makes me sooo happy to wear! I love especially the fluttery sleeves on this little number from J. Crew. I paired that with some trusty dark wash denim and a taupe hat that had me feeling so chic. As always, you can peep my trusty monogram and Rebecca Minkoff nude cross body. Gotta love that gold hardware!

Hannah and I love to shop and we had a blast at the Pike Place Market and browsing Nordstrom. I visit her every chance I get, which is a little silly as she goes to school with me, but who can resist with outings as great as the one’s Seattle has to offer? Our weekends are one of my favorite college traditions.

Date Night Off the Shoulder

blog 4blog 3blog 2blog 1

Hi lovelies!

Today I wanted to show y’all one of my favorite outfits to wear this summer; black and white and off the shoulder! I love the lacy details of the top paired with the crispness of white jeans. I paired it with neutral accessories, but honestly this outfit calls for a pop of color too! I just love wearing neutrals too much. This top felt PERFECT because it was just warm enough to not be chilly in restaurants and have to ruin your look with a jacket. Plus, who doesn’t love a few polka dots?! C and I went to dinner at the cutest little Italian restaurant and walked around downtown Portland with some ice cream. I love going on simple little dates like that, even after 5 years together!
