Hello friends and neighbors!

While everyone is still recovering from the holiday season and prepping for New Years, I thought I would share this awesome outfit today! This is probably one of my top favorite pieces of the entire season to be honest. This beautiful sweater from Topshop is so roomy and soft that it will definitely cure any hangovers or headaches from any sort of overindulging. It likes to slip off the shoulders a bit, as the back lace up gets loose after washes, but I love that look anyway. The bell sleeves are right on trend as well and the cut of the sweater is a little more cropped for easy tucking. These earrings were featured the other day on my blog and I think they go brilliantly with this sweater too!

I got to watch the Mizzou vs UT football game yesterday, which was SO exciting! Watching my school play my dad’s alma mater was the experience of a lifetime, especially for my senior year. I will definitely post my outfit from the game soon.

Fall to Winter: Skirt Edition

Hello!

Today I thought I would show y’all what I wore recently when my dad came to visit for Theta Dad’s Weekend. While it may be November, it’s not always cold enough during the day to completely bundle up. That won’t stop me from pulling out my favorite winter pieces, though!

I am obsessed with the colors in this scarf and the way it matches almost any outfit. I’m not usually a scarf girl, but this one is the perfect weight and can be used as a blanket during travel too.

The white Topshop sweater is one of my favorites. I have a whole other blog post coming on this cute top so stay tuned. It doesn’t tuck super well into the skirt, but that doesn’t stop me from loving this beautiful suede skirt Suede pieces are my favorite in the fall as a great alternative to smooth leather. The camel color is absolute perfection as well.

Ed Sheeran Concert Outfit!

Hello friends!

Today I thought I would show y’all what I chose to wear to the Ed Sheeran Concert I went to with my sweet boyfriend. He totally surprised me at the end of our summer together and we got to see the divide tour, which has been one of my favorite albums!

This beautiful top is a bandeau with a sweetheart neckline and attached sleeves that essentially had the rest of the shirt draped off of the bandeau. It’s perfectly flowy and flirty. I paired it with dark wash skinny jeans to make the outfit more comfortable for me and my absolute fav wedges from Jeffery Campbell.

I’m sad I can’t wear outfits like this most days anymore but still thought it’s perfect for a concert year round! It can get really warm in venues with all the lights and people, so I like to drag out those summery pieces a little longer.

Hello friends!

Wow, have the last few weeks been crazy or what?? It seems like October has just flown by, but the good news is, I have lots to show for it! I celebrated my final Mizzou homecoming as an undergrad, was a first-time bridesmaid in my dear friend’s wedding, hosted a wine tasting party and visited with family from out of town. My goal for this month was to have more of my kind of fun, and while I didn’t get to check everything off, I think I covered quite a few bases.

Today I thought I would show y’all what I’ve been living in this month. I think this outfit is PERFECT for a busy college student’s long days. Obviously, I don’t roll up to my 9 am lecture like this everyday (hello full face of makeup!) but on days with my more group focus or client facing classes followed by work and a social engagement, I like to dress the part of someone who knows what she’s doing.

I actually call this jacket my “journalism jacket” because every. single. girl. in my program has one of these bad gals. Mine of course comes with a tailored waist and more gold hardware than your average olive utility jacket, but there’s a version out there for everyone. Even if I wasn’t studying in the j-school, I would recommend this jacket as an essential fall piece. The color is so flattering on a variety of skin tones and manages to make you look incredibly pulled together with minimal effort.

I showed this outfit with two different bags because I love the versatility of this look. During the day, I am somewhat known for my massive navy longchamp that follows me from every class, to work, and countless capstone meetings. I personalized it with the cutest monogram initial with art deco vibes and of course my badge to get into work in the most darling Kate Spade case. It’s in my two favorite colors, so the bag feels a lot like me! I also have been loving this dupe for the Chloe “Drew” handbag in dove gray with gold hardware I found at a boutique in Oregon. I am truly obsessed with the real deal and can’t wait to get my hands on it one day, but for now this is elevating my style game just fine! I love the unique structure of the bag and often transition into this little beauty before a dinner with friends or going to see a movie.

Hello ladies!

Happy Fall! It’s officially a couple days into October and I have busted out the fall candles and pumpkin spice muffin recipe! Missouri, however, has still not gotten the fall memo. Therefore, I thought I would show y’all another great and easy fall look that’s perfect for those in-between days. This would be absolutely so cute with a duster cardigan as well.

This tank is so sweet with the reds and chocolate browns, which is a bit out of the ordinary for me. I don’t wear a ton of color so pairing it with neutrals was a must! I wore this recently to class and a presentation and felt casual, yet pulled together. It’s also safe to say I love me some arm candy during the fall! There’s something about piles of bracelets and a statement watch that help me feel like a more confident version of myself.

This season is bringing so many exciting changes and opportunities already and I can’t wait to enjoy fall even more through the next couple months.

XOXO, Kackie

Perfect Fall Transition Outfit

Hi friends!!

I am so excited to share with y’all my version of the perfect outfit for when you’re ready for fall but the weather… is in denial. I live in Missouri, which doesn’t cool down until late October or early November so sometimes you have to make your own fall. Today I thought I would focus a bit on accessories because they can last year after year and are more fun than regular jeans in my opinion!

My favorite part of this look by far are these amazing suede boots from Sam Edelman! I bought them in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and have been waiting for an excuse to bust them out for quite a few weeks now. The boots are crazy comfortable with a reasonable heel and I love the warm toffee color. I’ve never owned suede boots before and am a little nervous they will not make it through the rougher fall weather, so stay tuned!

I got these fabulous hoop earrings from Nordstrom as well and love how they face a different direction than traditional hoop earrings. I am so looking forward to wearing these for game days and Mizzou events all fall long.

What I wore to a Bridal Shower!

IMG_0329IMG_0332IMG_0330IMG_0331IMG_0333IMG_0334

Hello sweet friends!

I recently attended the bridal shower of my boyfriend’s sister, S. It was so much fun and I loved getting to celebrate one of the most genuine women in my life! She is getting married in October, so definitely be looking forward to lots more posts about what I wore to the bachelorette party and to the wedding weekend. I am a bridesmaid which is extra sweet!

The shower was pink themed and y’all I am truly obsessed with millennial pink. I cannot get enough of the blush tone and this dress from Shein was perfect for the occasion! It is a little on the short side (I’m 5’6) but I think the bell sleeves managed to balance everything out nicely. My favorite part of this dress is how detailed it is. I love the puff balls and lace all over.

My favorite part of this outfit though was definitely my earrings from Bauble bar! I got them around the Nordstrom anniversary sale time and have worn them at least once a week since. I also tried out for the first time my new block heels from Vince Camuto, which seem like the perfect all day dressy shoe! So far, I think they are very comfortable, but I’m not sure about the width of the strap over my toes, as it’s chunkier than I usually prefer.

Wedding season part 2 is just starting to sneak up on us! I can’t wait to see all the amazing photos on facebook because I think fall weddings are seriously some of the most beautiful.
